Why private test prep?
Group courses move at one speed. In private lessons, Juliet finds the skills that are holding your score back and spends your time there, with test-taking strategies and lots of realistic practice.
Whether you're applying to a US university or graduate program, or need a score for work or a visa, you'll get a plan built around your target score and test date.
$50–70 / 1-hour lesson
Duolingo $50 · TOEFL $60 · IELTS $70
Free guides: scores for UCLA and Santa Monica College, which test to take, and the IELTS speaking test.
How much is test prep?
Duolingo English Test prep is $50, TOEFL prep is $60 and IELTS prep is $70 for a one-hour private lesson, online or in person. IELTS costs more because it includes live speaking-interview practice and detailed marking of your writing tasks.
Which test should I take?
It depends on where you're applying. Many US universities accept the TOEFL, the IELTS and the Duolingo English Test, but some only accept one or two, and visa and licensing programs have their own rules. Check what your school or program accepts. Juliet can help you compare them during your free 15-minute call.
How many lessons will I need?
It depends on your current level, your target score and your test date. Tell Juliet both when you get in touch and she'll suggest a plan.
Can I do test prep online?
Yes. Test prep works very well online over Google Meet, and the Duolingo English Test is taken online at home, so practicing on a computer is ideal.
Have a test date?
Tell Juliet your test, target score and date, and she'll plan your prep.
